3 dope non-alcoholic wines

You wouldn't believe how good these bottles are

Hello to the three new subscribers who’ve joined me on this journey 💫

Happy Friday, folks

I went non-alcoholic wine hunting. And I’ve got some great options for you.

So, if you’re Catholic like me and you continued your alcohol fast into the Lenten season OR you are planning to extend your fast a little bit more, check these three bottles out…

Please forward this to ONE friend today and tell them to subscribe here.

Ariel Cabernet Sauvignon

These Ariel folks know how to make non-alcoholic wine. I mean, they have been winning awards against alcoholic wines as far back as 2006.

Soft tannins, rich chocolatey feel, and a dry finish.

Pure Vision Zero Shiraz

Gold winner, 2023 Free From Awards UK, gold winner at the Wine Showcase Magazine 2023 in Australia, the Pure Vision Zero Shiraz is famous for its oakiness and tannins.

I tried it with grilled fish, and it didn’t disappoint. And if you are also looking for a wine low in sugar, it’s a great pick.

Its oakiness also means it’ll do well with grilled meat.

One downside —> it's recommended you consume within two days after uncorking.

Lautus Savvy Red

The South Africans have gotten in on the non-alcoholic wine game. Dry, juicy, but not too grapey, Lautus Savvy is a crowd-pleaser. The sort of bottle you pass around, and it comes back empty.

I tried this with dark chocolate, and the mouthfeel was heavenly. Maybe something to do with the blend of juicy and dry. I can imagine this bottle pairing well with roasted chicken.

Now that we talk of roasted chicken, I’m headed to my friend’s house this evening for a chat. I’ll probably stop at the wine store, grab another Lautus, and see how it handles the fish he’s promised to grill.

Next week, I’ll explain what they mean when they say wine is dealcoholized. I call it non-alcoholic wine, but there’s a slight difference.

Now, go uncork a bottle. It’s the weekend.
